Re: FANATEC War
Only the shifter left for me. When that breaks, and is replaced, I wont have anymore Fanatec gear.
I wonder how many people have fanatec gear that have had no issues with it?

Re: FANATEC War
Well that's nice to hear. I know Pix is having issues with his.
Asetek and Heusinkveld. Although the Husky pedals might go as they are a bit too heavy. Not sure yet.
What Fanatec gear do you have?

Me for two, will I have problems if it continues to gather dust?
Haven't had any time to do some laps recently

Re: FANATEC War
Added those videos to watch later. Saw some stuff about it but was keen to understand the saga so ill catchup when i have some time.
But I sold all my gear a few years back, I think I RMA'ed
My CSL elite wheelbased twice, and my McLaren wheel once
When I went Direct Drive, felt silly to go the Fanatec DD path, so just weened myself off everything else, I was using the BMW wheel and one of the adapters for awhile, but ended up selling that about a year or so ago.
Im never touching them again, seems like there are plenty of other players in that space that make more sense these days, especally if you dont care about consoles

Re: FANATEC War
Trusty old CSL Elite v2 WB with a mix of their lower end wheels, mainly use the original P1 wheel that came with the base or the McLaren GT3 wheel.
I'm thinking of switching to MOZA at some point, first get their KS wheel & Universal Hub Kit to run it on the FANATEC WB then later get one of the MOZA DD's.

Looks like I'll be able to brand match my RAM with the wheel/pedals

If you haven't watched the videos then I suggest you do. The top one only is enough to understand what is going on.Brett_S wrote:Looks like I'll be able to brand match my RAM with the wheel/pedals

Might change your mind about supporting CORSAIR if they are able to "acquire" FANATEC the way they are attempting to.
They'll effectively get it for nicks while all current FANATEC shareholders loose thier hard earned. It's legalised robbery what they are trying to do.

Re: FANATEC War
True, but if it helps keep Fanatec in business - without this what's the option? More debt and kick the can

I wonder how many people were actually aware of those German laws?
But, buyer beware I suppose.

Re: FANATEC War
I watched that first video about a week ago. Very interesting development for sure, especially with Corsair coming into play as well. I have all Fanatec kit, BMW wheel, 2.5 belt driven and V3 pedals. I think a lot of Sim racers developed quite an affinity for the brand because it was quite a step up in quality. But those days of popularity seem to have died down a bit now as more players have come into the market space. Very interesting corporate carry ons, especially when you like the brand.
