Re: Not Top Gear
I dont think its out in the US until tonight our time.
Apparently Amazon Prime is now available to Australian folks. There is a 30 Day trial and there are also some specials on subscribing if you are interested. It's not confirmed if GT is available to Australian viewers but i'd say it's likely.

Re: Not Top Gear
$99 (presumably US) when I won't use any of the other features isn't appealing to me. There are no other shows that appeal and I don't shop at Amazon.

Re: Not Top Gear
It's because it's yearly. They should give a monthly option - $10/month sounds infinitely better, and is on par with Netflix.GT VIRUS wrote:$99 (presumably US) when I won't use any of the other features isn't appealing to me. There are no other shows that appeal and I don't shop at Amazon.
I don't shop on Amazon either - because there's nothing to buy in Aus but books, which I'm just downloading nowadays. But if that changes as well, then we've something to talk about

Yes they all do that.. some shows aren't available if they have been sold to an Australian network like a FTA or Stan etc..ysu wrote:Pix, do you know if AmazonPrime is region-controlling shit like Netflix or not?

Well, I'll wait till it gets out in the wild. TorrentDay wants a real email address and I don't want to give one to them.

Well, now it's on the fishy site, too . I'd love to invite you, thornz, but I just can't figure out where is it - I've clicked everywhere, I guess my non-paid account just can't do that? (I've a positive ratio so it's a bit weird)

Re: Not Top Gear
Why not sub to Amazon Prime rather than pirate it? It's not a large amount to play and might send a message to certain media outlets that we are prepared to pay for something that's not over priced.

I'm considering it, there are things againstDr. Pain wrote:Why not sub to Amazon Prime rather than pirate it? It's not a large amount to play and might send a message to certain media outlets that we are prepared to pay for something that's not over priced.
1) we're shafted by not getting the same offering (experienced at netflix already)
2) only coming later as I understand ( in december sometime )
3) only yearly sub as far as I can tell
I could trial a 30-day sub, might still do it, but for now, i'll just get this done in another 10-20 minutes, then watch it
Edit: scrap this all, read below.

Re: Not Top Gear
I thought I'll test my theories.
I've just gone for the 30-day trial on Amazon, it worked in one click.
The show is on, I can start watching it instantly.
They also have other goodies, I had a look around, so I'm going to subscribe.
They also have a monthly subscription for a decent $11/mo.
Although, it maybe due to my getflix sub, which includes amazon prime, LOL.
Edit: and now that I've had a look around with the 30-day trial I can't buy amazon prime yearly sub anymore . Funny guys these are...

That I agree with.pixelboy wrote:The celebrity section was cringe worthy!
But overall it was good, especially when the were sticking to the cars, and they did mostly that

Man you guys are hard to please. I bet you all last more than 3 minutes in bed too! Mammoth effort!
I enjoyed it a lot. Yeah, it's a lot the same as TG but they're the package. I loved the shots, the music and the sounds. Looking forward to next week!

Re: Not Top Gear
Shows promise, hopefully they stop showing off and just focus on the car bits. They seemed a bit awkward in the tent, I think they'll need a year to get it right there.
