Editing tracks

Post by Fandango »

Can someone give me the exact run down on editing tracks adding in barriers and tyre bundles etc. Wanna have a bash but I got no idea. I tried goin into autocross mode or somethin a while ago but I couldnt get the objects to add to the track for some reason? Not sure if i did something wrong.

Help be muchly appreciated.

if you go into 'shift + u' mode you and select 'place obects - yes' you should be able to add objects to the track by pressing 'o'

Mmm.. think this was the trouble I was having before. So if I just load up say BL and hit shift+u I should be able to do it? Just join a game?

just load up say BLGP and then go into the race, then press Shift U and you get a little menu, on the left hand side the top one says "place objects" then a NO next to it, if u click it so it says yes then u get a whole list of stuff to play with :)

I always do my track editing in Prac mode.
Just remember that you can only use a maximum of 512 objects.

And the more objects on screen there are at once, the mose those with an older video card seriously suffer from fps issues.

Pm Takumi Fandangoman, he is the man for creating layouts. Or listen to what Knappo says those AR jump sessions were sweet fun.

You can add objects to all tracks in LFS but some have more objects than others.
Blackwood is the only track with ramps :( (I wish we could have Jump Time in the City)

If you look behind or around the pit complex's on each track you will notice witches hats, tyre bundles ect.
these items will be available in Shift+U and each track has its own set of items (some tracks have the same, some just have variations) Blackwood has its items stashed at the far end of the track by the base of the cross over bridge near the S bend. These items cannot be moved so i guess they are included into the track maps so the items are within the games memory.
