Not bad!
It's very nice that it's not over-done, so I can still sorta recognise the things.

What I don't like at first sight is the normal rock/stone texture, it's rather like concrete now.
Oh and the gravel.
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

Ill have a play tomorrow :)

as I said, the smooth stone (aka rock) is still something I'm not quite sure of.
I got used to the previous one ;)
The gravel could use a bit more colour.

by the way here's a rock texture I think I like:
rock400.jpg
orig:
http://desizntech.info/freebies/surface ... ture_1.JPG" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(From here: http://desizntech.info/2009/10/10-free- ... -textures/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

with the gravel, it can be many sorts, but if we want to be able to tell it apart and well, I reckon we could use a 'colorful' sort of gravel, eg
Image

It may worth a try to make a 64x texture, based on any of these or similar photos - just the stone/gravel.

Ashtazaria loves the new pack. I'm still accustomed to Misa's 64x realistic pack. I did try yours though but the 32x tools and torches really detracted from the atmosphere for me and that's entirely my opinion.

LOL the torches looked a bit weird, but I thought that's just how it is ;)
The tools I did not notice at all. maybe even 32 is a big up from the default 16px resolution eh?

can't see the m&m anywhere ;)

in any case, yeah this texture prolly would need to go through a repeatable texture maker first. as I mentioned we used to use it for small background images for web pages in the olden days, when size was most important.

thanks mate, downloading!

ps. everybody should use one of these texture packs from neil.
They aren't too intrusive and make things really nice - sometimes even easier to use (eg redstone repeater!)

Edit:
this latest is the greatest, so far!

Download it, guys, you won't regret it. It might even cure your cobble-aversion :D

Does it slow things down?

Not for me.
Well, you can try it and switch if off later if it seems to cause performance problems.
But if you can run an average game, this should be all right, too, I reckon.

if you don't understand the installation instructions for the HD textures patch, just ask. It's pretty simple once you get it, but can be daunting first.

Neil baby, it's an awesome pack! May I offer a suggestion? No? Well, I'm asking anyway: Can we please have the obsidian much much darker than it is, like the purple in Misa's? That's the only thing holding back me changing to your full time. It made my obsidian flooring in my observatory... erm... weird.

Edit: and Glowstone a little lighter? These are mere suggestions. If you don't want to change them, don't :)

Edit 2: AAANNNNDDDD.... the bricks a little bit more Darker.

Edit 3: I'm sorry for being such a whinger :)

Any chance the dirt could be made lighter? It seems very dark when there is a lot of it.

I don't like it. The sandstone that you had originally was good.
