Re: Your Cool Artworks.....
Here's my latest hobby, making Tiki's... This is my 1st one hand carved. I did one with a router previously but it just didn't have the depth it required. This one stands about a foot high. I have a big chunk of Walnut standing about a Meter high for the next one. This one was a warm up.
He looks a little glossy as I took the photo about 10 seconds after applying the stain lol.

Re: Your Cool Artworks.....
Yeah all chisels except for a Dremel that I use for sanding and a mapp/propane torch for burning. I bought an epic chisel kit but only really use maybe 3 of them tops. It's time consuming work though I expect to get faster as I go. I reckon the bigger stuff will actually be easier.

Generally No, if someone wants to buy one then great, I'll sell one to them but I'm not going to make any with intention to sell. Making stuff for people is what has killed a lot of my hobbies. So I'm making a deliberate ploy to do this for myself.

Re: Your Cool Artworks.....
Never had a crack at painting but always wanted to, never been much of a drawer either, but had a couple of mates in school that were brilliant and always wished I could draw, anyway thought I'd have a crack at my first painting and bit the bullet and got some basic gear, first work in progress.......dunno if painters draw stuff first before painting it? I just free-hand painted it anyway, probably turned out better than if I drew it first anyway lol.
Don't ask what it's going to be as I have no clue haha, might add a red bird or something and keep it simple.

Thanks mole You should, it's good fun, I think it's pretty cool that you can create anything that your imagination can think up, completely original
