Hottest 100 2010

Post by Hz-Lab »

well, it's just begun. What's your tips for number 1? What should of placed higher? all the mumbo jumbo.

I know in previous years the info has been leaked prior, so if you know the result, please don't spoil it for others.

Last year I had Little Lion Man pinned for No. 1 straight, this year I am unsure, however I reckon I can tip the top 2.

my picks for the top 2.

Ceelo Green - Fuck you
Ducksauce - Barbara Streisand

Not my choices, i just think that's how it's gonna pan out..

My votes by the way, were as follows:-

Ash Grunwald - Walking
Children Collide - My Eagle
Dead Letter Circus - One Step
Grinderman - Heathen Child
Katy B - Katy On A Mission
Mark Ronson & The Business Intl - Bang Bang Bang {Ft. Q-Tip & MNDR}
Naked And Famous, The - Young Blood
Wombats, The - Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)
Yeasayer - Ambling Alp
Yeasayer - O.N.E

i hate that Ducksauce song. I saw Daedletter Circus supporting Linkin Park and they were just another unintersting prog rock band trying to be like Butterfly Effect. Ok but nothing special. I'd be quite happy for The Wombats to win it, that's a really good song.

speaking of Tokyo, i'm digging this one a lot

DLC are more of a Karnivool Clone than a Butterfly effect. Call me unaustralian but I never really like Butterfly effect anyway.

Well, what a fizzer that turned out to be..lol. Well actually it wasn't half bad, cos I really had no clue what the top 5 was gonna be. I was always thinking the Stones would come in close but I didn't think Number 1. On the positives though, I think there were over 50 Aussie songs in the top 100. 1st time that has ever happened I think. I am just glad Tame Impala got nowhere near it, feck I hate them.

that ABC remix shits me..lol. It's not even that good. but meh, I miss the pendulum of old.

I reckon the tracks in the 20 to 5 region were tops, the top 5 kind of threw me a little though. Little Red I was not expecting, to be honest, I totally forgot about that song.

I'm pretty happy with the list.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

I hate it too, but I can at least understand how it got to number one.

I was pissed off with what came in No. 1, a load of spineless shit. I don't listen to JJJ much anymore as I'm not spending as much time in the car. Had to go on YouTube to hear Big Jet Plane. Made a negative comment about it coming #1, stating that the Hottest 100 album this year should be subtitled "Music For Softcocks". Boy, did that cause some controversy!

I really liked Jellylegs by Children Collide.

Bliss N Eso do great Aussie stuff.

Yeah Children Collide are tops, I actually expected "My Eagle" to come in higher than "Jellylegs" but it didn't. Anyone who misses all the golden tunes of the late 90's early 00's should def check out Children Collide. They are very reminiscent of those times.
