The CGIOOMH Thread

Post by SamC »

Welcome aboard ARSEs! To the Can't-Get-It-Out-Of-My-Head Thread!

Thought I would create a thread of what you're listening to, or what you can't get enough of lately, that song that you just can't get away from, that you have thrashed non stop for the past few days/weeks/.....years.

I thought it would be handy as an ongoing thread, if everyone posted what they're hooked on, anything, it doesn't matter, just personal taste, so that others might be able to snatch some hookage! :D

Well for me, lately I seem to be hooked on Cut Copys "Lights & Music", dunno why, never listened to them before, I think I heard it on TV somewhere, and am loving the song, till I play it non stop, then I'll hate it.

Before that it was The Killers, I used to be into them a little while back, but lost interest and just heard a few of their older songs again the other day and have been re-hooked.

Also, why is it that its always the annoy-the-fuck-outa-you songs that stick in your head and you find yourself whistling the tune for the rest of the week, getting looks from those around you like you've just fondled the queen.

Post away....

First on my list is:

- When trouble arises and things look bad, there is always one individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command. Very often, that individual is crazy.
- If youre paddling upstream in a canoe and a wheel falls off, how many pancakes fit in a doghouse? None! Icecream doesn't have bones!!!

Sam, if you like that song, you should check out the new (2008) Cut Copy CD "In Ghost Colours". It's a really good album, hardly a bad song on it.

Yeah... i dunno... I like 2 cut copy songs and thought the rest are shit. (hearts on fire and lights and music - which pretty much sound the same). Saw them at Big Day Out this year.

This gets stuck in mine...

Here's a new one that I just came across today:

I promise Rick has nothing to do with it.

I normally like Architecture In Helsinki... But that song was more annoying then anything else.

I remember for a while I couldn't stop listening to Heart it Races and Do the Whirlwind. Great band great music... but that song... It's that fucking beeping!

I know a mouse and he hasn't got a house, I don't know why I call him Gerald, He's getting rather old But he's a good mouse.

Maybe a little bit different from the other stuff posted in this thread, but this is what's stuck in my head today:

"La Campanella" means "The little bell".
