This US GP is all getting a bit awkward.
They were supposed to do applause for Mateschitz. They did that for a bit, then it looked like some were having a moment of silence and looking up at a huge TV screen with his face in black and white on it, then they decided to play the Rolling Stones 'you start me up' out over the PA system while Horner, Marko, Seb, Max, Dannyric, Gasly, Tsunoda and Perez were all at the front of the grid looking sombre.

Then they launched in to the US anthem that was sung badly by a woman in latex who started off a bit too high and struggled to get to the big notes!

Woo! USA!

We have 3 US GPs next year. That seppo BS is going to be hard to stand 3 times.

How did Alonso keep going after that wheelie?

Ahh.. When you're actually hoping for an against the odds Lewis victory because it'd make a nice change...

Fred has a habit of making those moves as late as possible and that's what can happen. Totally Strolls fault still but when you leave zero margin before you show yourself in the other car's mirror just expect things might go wrong.

Also, T1 clash I would have called as a racing incident. Sainz seemed to check up and change lines coming out of T1. Both contributed to that one.

The Tim Apple thing was a classic, Libery obv invited him to try and get that sweet sweet apple money haha

And yeah decent race, mostly cause that Red Bull stop raelly changed the race up. And Exar I agree with you on T1

If Sainz hadnt had got off the throttle, he was up the back of Max.

Alonso leaves it late, but doesnt Stroll have a history of moving across the track on people?

Tim Cook looked very out of place there. Apple is all about being green and recycling etc etc and he's visiting one of the most polluting sports out there :) Piss poor flag waving!

Brundle shifted him out of the way to look at Hamilton's brakes too :D

The SC's saved this from being a shit boring race...

Race Start T1 was a racing incident for mine, for me Sainz was just as much to blame as Russell. Max was always going to park it mid-corner & for Sainz to think he can do an over & under in T1 at the start of a GP just shows me he has very poor judgement / race-craft. As for Russell or any driver for that matter, they just wouldn't expect an over & under move like that at that time of the race.
To me Sainz been a real disappointment this year, the said lack of race craft has resulted in most of his poor performances this year.

Stroll should get a race ban, he has shown repeatedly that he doesn't give a shit & will move lines erratically to block pass attempts no matter where on track. The AUS GP was bad but this was a whole other level, they were only half-way down the back straight so there was no way he was going to be able to prevent the pass. Grosjean was ridiculed in his early career for such antics...
Agree Fred does leave it late & too close before pulling out but I think it is a product of the different performance of the cars. I feel he got caught out thinking Stroll wouldn't defend it that hard given it was only half-way down the straight. I know he has certain responsibilities as well & contributed to the crash & I think the tone of his radio messages gave an indication that he knew he contributed to it.

That last lap battle with Vettel & K-Mag was epic, pity the telecast didn't capture it well. :(

Dani Ric is a broken man, he needs to take next year off as being a reserve driver surely can't mend his physce.
I also don't see the point of going back to RB, he won't be allowed to beat Max ever...
