Those comics have a nice style. Makes me want to play :)

Maybe time for an arseville 3.0 when 1.7 vanilla comes out?

That could work, I was thinking it's time we did a proper Arseville again, build on top of each other, doesn't have to be a grid like last time, but that did work well so maybe that's all we need.

I like the grid with my OCD, but saying that it gets very bland.

need something a bit more real i guess. Find some land and then make up a city with crazy, and even bigger lots than before? 20x20 iirc was a bit small.

I'm easy Neil, I just find the spread out nature a bit boring these days, Raz sounds like he is on board as well if we do the close together thing, he missed the last time we did that.

How about people mark out any size area they want to build in, but part of it has to be adjacent to someone elses area?

Gives people the freedom to build big/multiple buildings, keeps everything close, and doesn't end up as a boring grid.

Even better if we have a standard road size/design and you have to build a road through your area which joins up with the next one and goes out at least 1 or 2 other sides. That's how they make these things, though they draw in a fixed size grid.

works for me too. Was thinking of a new vanilla server for 1.7 and Im happy to play by anyones rules.

Ive not been on in ages, would we need to suck up to Astro and tell him what a fine citizen he is?

Wondering if it would work out easier/better if you had to build the road as the perimeter of your area rather than through it, though I guess you could do both.

So road as a perimeter and it has to include an existing section of road. Any size/shape you want but preferably small for high density. i.e. town buildings, not country estates. When starting out you just need to leave space for the road so you can fill it in when you get the materials.

If it is stock standard and no witch craft, I might even have a crack at it.

The bride is away for a week in November and I can only rub out so many every night :)

I'm pretty sure Neil still has the paid server going, was still there when I logged in about a week ago to see if anyone had been on.

I'm happy to chuck some money his way to keep that going, I'll send him a PM as I haven't seen him round much lately.

Lol, waste of time sending that PM. Please yourself Neil, I'm inclined to wait for 1.7 official release given Mojang's reliability in past releases.

Haha. Yes to all your questions.

I am moving soon and just wanted to get on it asap as I will be without interwebs for a unknown time....

1.7.1 is basically a release candidate and will probably be made the official release tonight anyway @ 11pm AEST.

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That cookie clicker is made with standard minecraft, but with command blocks which you can only use in creative mode.

Main 1.7 changes

11 new biomes
20 new technical biomes
AMPLIFIED world type
7 new commands
New particle effects
6 new achievements
4 new statistics
Acacia and Dark Oak trees, wood, planks, slabs and stairs
3 new fish
10 new flowers
Potion of Water Breathing
Stained Glass and Stained Glass Panes

Notable Changes:

Improvements to existing biomes
Ocean biomes are smaller and take up less of the world
Treasures can be caught by fishing
Achievements and statistics are now per world/server
Fog is less noticeable on lower render distances
Re-added pre-1.6.1 boat controls
Weighted pressure plates are no longer limited to items
Unbreaking from enchantment tables is no longer limited to tools
Witches now spawn outside of Witch Huts
Render Distance and Max Framerate are now sliders

And all the 1.6 changes which I haven't really tried yet like horses and stained clay
