Apparently your next car is a Renault Clio...

I can vouch for them in all ways except for air conditioning... :)

The aircon in mine isn't that bad. It's not as good as volkswagen's but it does the job!

You apparently may have got the one that worked then... Exar was looking decidedly nervous about the long trek home considering the average Daily temp... :)

Maybe the A/C was not one of the something something synergy not far too swim from beret to tweed parts... :)

Air con is something you need when you drive a British built car outside of the UK... Or tasmania... :)

Tasmania only has 3 weeks of hot weather each year (and not all in a row)... I think Stu can just crack the window and he'll be fine

So I went for a drive on Sunday to Latrobe purely for the roads. Stopped at the Cherry shed (local café) for a drink. Came out to find 4 kids taking selfies in front it :) Talked to them for a couple of minutes and they thanked me for letting them take pictures before running off to their parents waiting in Commodores.

Also set up my OBDII with my Nexus 7. I havent used the Nexus for a while so I have ordered a new battery and will prolly clamp it to the lower part of the dash. Have music, maps and manuals on it as well as dash command. Nerdy geeky stuff to see diagnostics but I like it :D

Lots Of Tech Unique Styling !

I've had 3 and they're brilliant. I went mad and splashed out on a V6 Exige.

I'm new on the forum and it's telling me an IPhone pic is too large :(

These cars are brilliant and the depreciation is next to zero at most price points, so you can run them for buttons.

The main (30,000 member) forum is http://www.seloc.org and there is a fast moving forum as well as buying guides etc. plenty of Ozzys on it and there are regions for runs out and social.

Track days - well Lotus On Track are the world's biggest not-for-profit organisers with a busy calendar all over Europe.

For road insurance that throws in 6 track days a year, 1answer are cheap.

My Exige V6 has 345bhp, sub 4 second 0-60 and 178 mph and I pay £420 at 46 yrs in a cheap area.

Honestly you have money to burn if you buy a new Golf GTD because it will crash in value. Both my S1 and S2 lost £500 a year and the S1 even did 45 mpg on a run. Nothing has the blend of performance, costs, fun and open top motoring.

I lust over getting an Exige S. You're right about the depreciation. Minimal k's get put on them and they really don't drop in price at all after the initial hit over the first 3 or 4 years. The Exige I've had the pleasure of driving was actually imported from the USA when the owner moved over here. His initial purchase price in the US plus the conversion to right hand drive price is about what it would be worth on the market now, 8 years later!

So I spent the day yesterday cleaning up the interior. I pulled the seats out along with the carpet. I partly did this to get the console up so I could see why the cigarette lighter wasn't working (now fixed, the wiring wasn't plugged in).

When you clean up a car that hasn't been cleaned up in a while, you secretly hope the previous owner left a wad of $100 notes under the seat.

I'm thinking that bobby pin is probably the fuse that used to make the cigarette lighter work.

Haha not. Cant even imaging smoking now. 13-14 years or so.

2 reasons for the ciggie lighter socket to be working. I bought a solar charger that I can plug in to keep the battery topped up while it isn't being driven.

And also for this :D

That is my old Nexus 7. Bought a new battery from ebay as it was not holding charge and the Nexus was not being used. Grabbed a holder for it, designed for the Nexus 7 and has a built in charge plug.

Im running Dash Command mainly but have the usual stuff like music and sat nav. Even have a Lotus wiki app which is a full offline manual for all things lotus. Not that music is much good as I cant hear it over the sound of my people.

Roof off public holiday here in Tas today. How fucking small is it lol

Yeah, well, it's time to renew then. Just found your next car, and you can even keep the same thread.
