I don't think Ocon is on Alonso's Christmas card list
“I was very close to the wall in Jeddah, I think. Close to the wall in Budapest, today in Turn 4, now here. So, is the way these things are, you know. Sometimes it’s very competitive inside the team.”
He continues, “It happened to him with Perez, with Verstappen here unlapping himself, so it’s one more race.”

Sprint race was great. Although the Mercs look genuinely quick this weekend, it's hard not to think Max will be back at the front by lap 15.

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN GRANDE PRÊMIO DE SÃO PAULO
Congrats to George. Drove that very nicely. Don't know how tf Max got a 5 second penalty for that collision with Lewis but jeez wasn't he pissy on the radio after the race after not handing back the place to Checo. Reeks of "I'm bigger than the team" vibes but I doubt we'll hear the full background.

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN GRANDE PRÊMIO DE SÃO PAULO
Verstappen pit radio - Max. Let Checo through please.
Pit - Max. What happened?
Verstappen - I told you already last summer. You guys don't ask that again to me. Ok? Are we clear about that? I gave my reasons, and I stand by it.
-------
Perez pit radio - So Max will let you through
Perez - Yeah, thank you for that guys. Thank you.
Horner - Sorry about that Checo
Pit - We'll debrief everything afterwards.
Perez - Yeah, it shows who he really is.
------
In spanish: Checo Pérez about Verstappen: "I am very surprised after everything I have done for him. If he has 2 championships it is thanks to me".

From the interviews it sounds like it was payback for a specific incident so maybe Brundle was right.

Kaching!
Good to see some spice in the teams too. We need a Nico at RB to give max the shits proper.
You have to wonder why MV and LH hit each other so often, but dont hit a lot of other people. I think I know the answer.
Oh boy, DR has done some dumb things the last 2 races.

Great weekend in all.. lots of spicy stuff!
DR has definitely checked out. I'd be super surprised if we see him on the grid again. He should go to WEC or IMSA

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN GRANDE PRÊMIO DE SÃO PAULO
Fuck the FIA are a joke.. another week and another just straight up rookie shit. They only let 2 of the 3 lapped cars through, so Yuki had to pull over on the restart to let the leaders through.
Then the Max penality is insane.. like Ok worse-case its a racing incident but it 100% should have been a Lewis 5 seconds..
As for Max at the end, poor form from him.. but looks like theirs more too it, apparently it was payback cause Checo crashed on purpose in qualifying for Monaco??
Shit is about to get spicy

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN GRANDE PRÊMIO DE SÃO PAULO
This is what happened to Tsunoda
The FIA explained that “all of the systems functioned correctly and according to the regulations. The unusual situation arose as a result of the idiosyncrasies of the specific circuit and scenario.”
After the safety car restart, Yuki was the first driver to cross the Safety Car Line 1 before the pit lane entrance. Therefore when he crossed it for a second time, the system would usually register that he is eligible to un-lap himself.
“However, at this time, he entered the pitlane and was able to go faster than the train of cars behind the Safety Car. In doing so, he unlapped himself when crossing the control line in the pitlane.”
“When he rejoined the circuit, the systems correctly indicated that he was again a lap down. However, as he had already unlapped himself once, he was not eligible to do so again when the Safety Car period was ending.”

Seems Perez admitted to Marko at Monaco that he crashed on purpose.
Here's an interesting tweet with the throttle traces and he does what a load of power on much earlier than he had on another lap where he didn't crash

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN GRANDE PRÊMIO DE SÃO PAULO
That does look pretty blatent doesn't it. He wouldn't have been able to explain it away that easily with the data available.
Still Checo has sacrificed his own race on a number of occasions to help Max so for Max to hold a grudge about this is pretty petty.

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN GRANDE PRÊMIO DE SÃO PAULO
I was doing some hunting yesterday about that and I think the key bit was that he was in front of Max when he crashed and therefore he took preference with all their strategy calls. Like this quote says.
"Just to refresh our memories, during the Monaco GP earlier this year, Perez's crash on his last flying lap in qualifying meant the Red Bull driver qualified ahead of Verstappen. As a result, the Mexican got the preference in every strategic call and won the race, while Verstappen only finished third."

To be fair Max was fighting Lewis for position, Ocon was a lapped car.
