50,000,000 metres!
Copied from the other thread.
So lets see. We have :
Flinty aka ARSEstrong for 12,000
Mr Leisure 9,000
norbs 6000
Clp 5000
w00dsy 4000
Speed 3000
EmJay 3000
DarrenM 2000
HZ 2000
So it is getting close enough to 50,000 to make that a target me thinks. We might pick up another cyclist or 2 along the way.
And a breakdown (based on the total of the goals, not 50,000)...
Progress graph thanks to Darren.

What do you guys use to count the k's? Been wanting to get on the Mountain Bike again and turning into a real life mmo would be the motivation me thinks.norbs wrote:Copied from the other thread.

"I stopped at about 5k last year, when the weather turned bad, been lazy and driving ever since."
As I got to my target weight, I'll probably do about 2-3k before winter and stop again.

Re: 50,000,000 metres!
I know that this is the cycling forum, but if all goes well I'd expect to run somewhere around the 750 to 1000km mark this year (once I get over the hamstring I tore in the final of the 550 at christmas), am I allowed to join in, or would you rather keep it for bikes only (no biggie if you do, I'd understand it if you did)? I don't have any device to track my distance, but it's easy enough to measure using google maps.

Have you seen Google Earth has a new feature that allows you to plot points and it gives you distance as well as elevations? Pretty cool.pab wrote:I don't have any device to track my distance, but it's easy enough to measure using google maps.

Just add the details from your trip computer after each ride and it adds them up. You can specify your target km in your profile.
For the sig if you want that as well

Re: 50,000,000 metres!
is it too late to start???
I did a heap during winter because the timing works better for me last year, but I stick to hiking in summer to get miles on rough terrain.
What is the site you use???

I'm riding also, but don't have a target... just making sure I ride at least once a week.
my route is 21.4k's, so a target could be 1200km's?

Riders->Edit my profile. Scroll down about 1/2 way down the page and there's a checkbox for Metric just under where you set your profile to be public etc.Gizmo wrote:Ok, i've signed up to bikejuronal. How do i get the distance i've ridden to show up in km? All that was available was miles.

Re: 50,000,000 metres!
Went out early this morning and did 117ks out and back ride from Seven Hills to Mona Vale , beat the afternoon heat , very nice riding on Mc Carrs Creek Rd and around Bayview and Church Point . Looking like I may break the 1000k mark for this month . I've never had a computer on any bike I've had before , I just went out and rode and wasn't interested in all the stats . I'll get that bike journal thing going when I can figure it out .

One of these http://tbsm.com.au/index.php?main_page= ... ts_id=1372" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'd had the bike for over a month before the sales guy at the bike shop talked me into it , only very basic . I never thought I would be that interested in checking the figures , but I do now , I'm even thinking of getting one of those Garmins like you guys have .

Re: 50,000,000 metres!
how do you add them with distance, all I can see is add ride - Ride Date: Ride Type: Bike: Club affiliation:, so I have just been adding to the previous.
