Looking forward to Tool, Iggy Pop, The Black Keys, Die Antwoord (mostly for the freak show)... and yeah, Rammstein too, I guess Not a fan, but the girlie digs 'em and hell, probably be a pretty interesting show.

Rammstein are a show worth seeing. Even if you are not a fan of their music their stage show is purely corrupt!

Re: BDO 2011
This year would be my tenth. Apart from Deftones I'm not really keen on any of the other acts... or I've seen them all numerous times before. So I'm boycotting it in favour of the Futures music festival over in Perth this year

I would love to go, except I am working. And it'll be only my third day at the new gig, so best I show up.

Re: BDO 2011
Well, Rammstein stole the show. Quite frankly, Tool underwhelmed the shit out of me
Iggy Pop.... er... might help if I knew the tunes, I guess.
Die Antwoord were only slight less freaky than expected. Enjoyed the Birds of Tokyo, but it's hard to tell how much of that comes down to the company I was keeping........
Also, a great big to The Black Keys.
All good fun though

I've never thought tool were a good festival band. Much better to see them on their own.

seems the cracks are starting to appear with the crowd appeal... it is a shame, but the world goes in cycles I guess...

Can I ask those who went, do the fun police get out of control at these events??? I have not been to one since the one Justin Hemmes tried to put on in Sydney a few years back... could never remember what that was called...

Re: BDO 2011
Yeah, I was at sound wave last year, and i enjoyed that more...
as for the fun police... There's sniffer dogs at the gate, cops and security guards aplenty, but I didn't see too many punters being escorted out.
As long add you're not causing shit, I think they generally leave you alone.
