Re: GT5 -AMG Driving Acadamy Challenge
Did the Advanced wet weather 300SL tests tonight. Such a cool car to drive in the wet, the physics come ALIVE
Completed all the sector tests with gold times so took on the full lap.
Gold time was 9:43.000.
Finished in 9:24.608 on my first decent lap past Aremberg.
So now that all beginer, intermediate & advanced test are completed at gold ive unlocked the Mercedes A160 '89, C63 AMG 08 and the SLS AMG 2010. Swoit!
In the process ive gone up to level 20.
That unlocked an "Extreme Series" with classes such as NASCAR, FormulaGT (the F1 cars by the looks of it), SuperGT and a Dream Car Series.

This is fun, best representation of the Green Hell on a console.
In the SLS AMG my best is 7:25.987.
I am using a controller and that was my second crack. My left thumb hurts so I'll wait till I pick up my wheel before giving it another go. No way i'll get down to what you mad fuckers are doing it in but in the fog and with minimal practice I was happy.
You are right about the physics here Knappo, they seem more refined on this track than others in the game.
I got only two golds for this so far, I can't hit the lines consistently with this little dual shock thing, feel like i'm a gunna break it.
G27 is in the mail.

Re: GT5 -AMG Driving Acadamy Challenge
7:01:986 with the SLS.
Got a weird issue with my G25 (also did it in GT5P) where my brakes would come on about 5% on and off (enough to make the brake lights flicker all the time). Similar sort of thing happens with the accel; on the main straight throttle will flicker from 100-95%... I did the whole lap pulling on the brake pedal with my toes and pushing really hard on the throttle Anyone got any advice??
9:20.294 for the advanced. Did all the lead ups gold though (took a few goes each) so was pretty practiced going into the full lap

Re: GT5 -AMG Driving Acadamy Challenge
Top time for the Advanced test Reppo.
I use to have a similar issue to this with my DFP and i recall spraying a tiny bit of wd40 into the rotating part of the pot which freed it up. But the issue came back months later and i bought the A1's from Robbo. If it is a hardware issue that wont go away you could try replacing the pots in the pedals.
I havnt had any issue with my G25 pedals... yet.
Do they preform properly in other sims? Just trying to rule out it being software or a hardware issue.ReppohC wrote:Got a weird issue with my G25 (also did it in GT5P) where my brakes would come on about 5% on and off (enough to make the brake lights flicker all the time). Sounds like the pots issue from the momo pedals.

I had the same thing reppoch. I pushed the brake pedal to the floor and it was fine though.

My Advanced time is a 9:39.898
First attempt and had a couple of small offs and hit a few AI. One car blocked me a fair bit.

I had the same thing happen to me with my logitech MOMO in GT5P, I think it's a pot issue although it works in LFS properly nowReppohC wrote: Got a weird issue with my G25 (also did it in GT5P) where my brakes would come on about 5% on and off (enough to make the brake lights flicker all the time). I have yet to test if my MOMO works with GT5 though

Expert: 8:09.964 - one spin / needed to reverse. Car is abolutely scary to drive in the build up events (road tyres) but in the one lap you must get race tyres which makes it pretty tame.
