Also I guess depending on how much I'd need to spend on tracks to be able to run the series.

Pass. If it's got no ratings then I'm not interested.
Plus we have heaps of leagues during the week.
Oh the v8 supercar might warrent a few one off races tho

Same deal for me unfortunately. I've only got time to race once a week so i'll be looking for official races for that time.NeilPearson wrote:Pass. If it's got no ratings then I'm not interested.

You still get SR/iRating right?

Not in hosted races. They're unofficial.AstrO wrote:You still get SR/iRating right?
You don't get participation credits either, which is a turn off for hosted leagues.

OK, I didn't know that.DarrenM wrote:Not in hosted races. They're unofficial.AstrO wrote:You still get SR/iRating right?

Did they give any reason why this is the case? Because I'm sure we could easily get grids of 20+ with some of the fastest drivers around(you, scottie, etc...). I don't mind not getting season points, because I don't really rate how the season points system works, but not getting SR / iRating would be a huge loss.

Re: ARSE iracing private league interest
I will be looking for official series racing. - But if you (GT) want to organise, promote and run a series , look at what is on offer already and make it fit in there somewhere.
Saturday night Indycar series?? that fits (if the indycar has an official series on Sat night in our timezone)

Re: ARSE iracing private league interest
Going by this unofficial race I had in the Jetta, I still received SR but didn't get any iRating. If that is the case for private leagues, then I'm still in. Mostly because iRating doesn't really mean anything to me because I don't care about series points.

Re: ARSE iracing private league interest
Cheers, it was a hard race. Sadly it's the grid size I expect to see in the Jetta at the times I can race. (which is one reason why I don't care about series points or iRating)Bauer wrote:nice win
Shame about the unofficial races not counting towards SR. Seems like private leagues are going to die in the arse before they even get off the ground...

Re: ARSE iracing private league interest
A lot of people want private leagues precisely because they won't have SR applied. The whole fault/blame system will come under the control of the league administrator. It's a pity we can't make SR at least optional in a hosted race. IR is totally understandable though.AstrO wrote: Shame about the unofficial races not counting towards SR. A lot of people don't need SR because they are already Class A / Pro. Us noobs on the other hand need as much SR as we can get.Exar Kun wrote:A lot of people want private leagues precisely because they won't have SR applied. Re: ARSE iracing private league interest
Yeah, the SR system is there to keep races clean, but in a league enviroment i've always found doesnt need it as the races are monitored and any problems will be looked at by the admins.
I am thinking of using something fairly different from the current pub league, weither that is just using a different car or mixing things up with the race program. Also would be looking at making it a longer race regardless of the car used, approx 1 1/2 hours of racing (possibly having 2 races if using slower cars).

I desperately need SR - if I lose anymore I won't be Pro anymore!AstrO wrote:A lot of people don't need SR because they are already Class A / Pro. Re: ARSE iracing private league interest
Glad to see there is some interest
For the first season, i think it will be a choice between the indycar or the corvette, being the hot things right now that most people want to drive. personally leaning towards the indycar, running a 8/2 road oval spil in the first season. I think i'll put that to a vote
Because of the way private leagues track choices work, there are only a couple of chances to run some tracks. Lime rock chicane only somes up once (would proberly avoid that track but still), and watkins glen classic with boot (would love to run that personally). But in a way, it also confines my choices making things a little easier to decide a shedual in a way
Finally, because of my work, i can only run on tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays. Would prefer not to run saturdays, so it only leaves 2 nights which it could run if i were to be running it.
But i am liking the idea more, so i'm hoping to get this going

by the way if it's oval then my interest is suddenly gone.
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?
