ARSE has a new home.
Attention all,
could you please update your bookmarks, favourites or that tattoo you got on the inside of your arm to reflect the new url for the forums.
http://www.arseforums.com/phpBB/
I have put a redirection in place from our old hosts for the next 2 weeks.
I would like to give a huge thanks to Big Kev, who once again has come through for us. At this time yesterday, he had just told me that we had had the plug pulled, and in a matter of 24 hours, we are working on a new host.
Also, thanks to all that emailed in suggestions for new hosts. We now have 15,000gig of space and bandwidth. With that sort of space, we are looking into enabling attachments on the forums.
Enjoy our new home, and let me know if you think things are faster, slower or no difference.

What host have you guys chosen?
So far it's excellent, feels much more responsive; hope it'll be more reliable than the old one too

Re: ARSE has a new home.
What's going on with the bloody e-mail? :P
I get 5 in a row telling me that ARSE has moved, then a sixth that says ARSE is down and looking for a new host. Dated yesterday.

Yeah, well it was my fault. I hit the submit button and nothing seemed to happen, so I hit it again, and, again................and again. You know, like waiting for a lift?wild wrote:I just got e-mail no. 7
Didn't realise I had my torrents running madly and saturated the connection. So you might get a few more yet! I sort of cracked the shits at it.

Re: ARSE has a new home.
the good news is we now have a massive amount of space and monthly transfer, so we'll set up the attachments so pics, LFS files like setups, replays etc can be uploaded. Obviously in moderation, there may be a size limit, but it'll save on having to host them yourself.

Excellent, our ARSE has a new home... Bluehost seem like the go, I have heard it mentioned a few times in the last few weeks... and considering I do not move in circles that ever discuss anything computers, that must mean something...
