Aussie Champ for V8 Mod
hey guys i thought id chuck this in ya off topic area for now..
i have spoken to norbs briefly on msn, but what im trying to organise is a competition for the best of the best in the up and coming V8 Supercar mod for rF by team ORSM... trying to get in touch with all the aussie leagues out there and rustle up all the admins i can to discuss how we are going to organise it.. at the moment im thinking something along the lines of each league running their own comps to decide their top drivers to qualify for the title of the aussie champ. Would be great to see some ARSE drivers enter, as i think the skins would be sexy!! lol.
We are trying to organise the possibility of prizes too which would be koooool.. ill come back here and check up on what you guys think, but in the mean time if any of the ARSE staff would like to contact me to help out or discuss an ARSE entry, chuck me a PM here and we can get the ball rolling.
cheers.

I was thinking about an interclub comp a little while ago and came up with this:
Australian Simracing Interclub Cup 2006:
To be done with the V8Factor mod at australian tracks depending on which ones are available at the time.
Each club fields a team of 15 drivers (we can drop it to 10 if this is too high).
Points table: 1st 30, 2nd 29, 3rd 28, 5th 27 and so on.
Races at least 1 hour in length, held fortnightly. Perhaps with races starting Sunday's, at 2pm so as not to interfere with club league nights.
Round 1
ARSE vs ASRG
ATR vs AoR
Round 2
ASRG vs ATR
AoR vs ARSE
Round 3
ATR vs ARSE
ASRG vs AoR
Round 4 - Final held at Bathurst
The 2 teams with the highest points race to determine who gets the cup for '06.
The remaining 2 teams race to see who gets the wooden spoon.

Because no other league would turn up?nutty wrote:sifnt make it a LFS league, then ARSE would handout a ARSEKicking
Looking fwoard to the mod being finally released
Dunno when the mod is out. Progress is still being made though.
I'm still not totally sold on rF either. Although I reckon if I actually did any online racing these days I'd probably like it much more. Same goes for LFS hehe.

Just buy it ya big girl...........................Righteous wrote:If this goes ahead I may be inclined to purchase rFactor. ATM im very very close to purchasing. Just need a reason
But be prepared to do a bit of tweaking to get it 'feel' right..........................apparently a trial is now included with the full install if you want to try before you buy and allows 2 cars and 2 tracks but no multiplayer........in my opinion most of the ISI cars(apart from the Leinz/rF1/BMW F1) are pretty average but at least you'll get an idea of whats its like and if it will run.................but its the mods like PCC/CTDP/F1 1979/Meganes/Nippon/Mclaren F1/Protoracer that make rF worthwhile.

Yeah, I have been fiddling around with the trial recently. Have you thought about applying for a job at the sales department within ISI sterls?
I dont mind it, originally a lack of FPS performance steered me away. That's been sorted now, but I dunno. I cant get a good feel of what the car is doing, not enough for me to decide how it needs to be set up or tweaked.
We'll see..
