Well after a couple of hours last night I'm no closer to having a nuetral setup, I'm really beginning to wonder if that is possible with a car that is so heavily biased weight wise towards the rear.norbs wrote:We really need a nice neutral setup for that bloody beast of a thing.SHoNKY wrote:Will be in shortly once I get my missus off my back about doing the dishes.
I can get the setup to not turn around under braking if I wind the brake bias forward and reduce the brake force but at a severe cost to braking distance (eg. 200mtrs on main straights). Will keep at it though, been playing with the damping but haven't got to toying with suspension stiffness yet to see if that will improve things.
Well I did say I would "attempt" to help, as you found out my instructor skills are rather lacking.macca wrote:ahhh, I didn't see this here, thanks Shonky for your valiant efforts, I hardly got a clean lap in

It is a tricky car to handle, fun though. After 20 or so laps, I found engine braking is completly useless as the rear kicks out so easily. Brake heavy only when the car is in a straight line. If the rear steps out around a fast sweeping corner just back off the throttle & it corrects itself instead of trying to correct with the wheel & throttle. If in doubt, brake early My 2 cents
