Haven't played a rally game in years so im loving it :) I'm finding it really immersive, the night/weather is new for me (realistic anyway) and love the dust that hangs around. It definitely needs some proper feedback but the physics appear good.
They're on the right track for sure. Lets hope they listen to the feedback and it can become as revered as RBR like they claim to hope to achieve.

Group B is fun.

So I've done some tweaking and used those setting r8 posted.

I've set my wheel to 300 in the logitech profiler too. For now, it gives the best feel. Wheel weight is on 10% and wheel strength is on 30 or 40.

I'm actually able to throw the group B thing around a bit now and get some proper slides going.

Group B is awesome! 3 of my all time favourite cars in there :)

I just drove a clean stage (absolutely arsed it) in the RS200 at night in the rain in Wales. Paid for itself right there :D

Tarmac though..... whole different ball game. Codemasters rep shines through there.

The edited FFB definitely improves it a lot, still lakes the weight transfer aspect but its a bit noticeable with FWD.

The little fella likes it more than AC haha he snuck into the office to try and play it a few times

I don't follow. Are you saying it will be cheap after launch? Or are you saying there will be a sale after it has launched at which point it will be cheap? OR, are you saying you're a tightarse and will wait for a sale?

I'm not sure if you meant to write "I'll" or "It'll"?

I'd say he meant It'll...

But then you'd be waiting quite a while... There are some games I just want enough that I don't care about paying the premium. Others I'm fairly indifferent about, i'll chuck them on a watch list and wait for them to get cheap. Everyone is different. This was already a few $$ off... And I feel like it's been well worth the money. I'm also happy to watch a game develop from beta. Not everyone is. I actually enjoy watching the progress.

Was loving the group B stuff last night. Although it bugs me, with the wheel at 300 and the changes to the FFB, it is a fair chunk of fun and very challenging. I will confess to grinning like an idiot a couple of times when I know I was pushing to hard and end up barrel rolling down the road.

It is challenging and it's certainly fun. I've got a mate coming over this weekend and I know we'll be spending a LOT of time seat swapping and trying to beat each other's times. I haven't looked into the multiplayer aspect yet, but hopefully we can do that.

Not sure how legitimate it is... There was a comment on OCAU that the price will actually increase gradually as they add more content until it hits about $60 (Launch Price)

I hate you, you pretty much have me sold right there!

Ill have to look into triple screen support and support for my wheel before I part with any cash, then there is the fact that I cant afford it for another 2 weeks. Dam you Fanatec!

Ha!! That's a very wobbly style sentence to be convinced by. :D

It's certainly fun and I can't imagine the triple support isn't there. I'd be surprised, especially since there is rift support.

Multiplayer stuff will keep me interested with the daily/weekly/monthly challenges. Im sitting 165th or something after 6 stages of the monthly challenge with atleast 5 penalties lol.

It would be good if you could see the standings for general different combos. It says where you placed when you do a custom race but im not sure where you can see the leaderboard as they arent shown in game like the challenges.
Ill have a look at setting up an arse league this weekend :)

Also I think it pays to advance in the career mode as it may roll over to the challenges (you have to 'own' the cars for the challenge so it may be the case with upgrades etc... will have to suss that out

I really like this game:)
FF needs work and the cars seem to have to much grip but its fun and much better than their other attempts. :)

Ok ill elaborate, it was this following sentence that did it.

"I will confess to grinning like an idiot a couple of times when I know I was pushing to hard and end up barrel rolling down the road."

^^^ Reminds me of myself playing RBR back in the day.

Oh don't worry, I got it :D

Just poking at myself and my bad use of tense in the sentence.

It should have been.

I will confess to grinning like an idiot a couple of times when I knew I was pushing to hard and ended up barrel rolling down the road.

I'm sure VT would think there are other problems there too..**

With my sentence, not the rallying... but maybe that also.

Yep, it gave me a grin too... I usually know a sim is good when I notice myself smiling.

LOL, typo - "It'll" was what I meant to write.

I'll wait till full release, and if it's good I'll buy it. Knappo seemed to be worried about price, hence what I wrote - just trying to be helpful :)

And yes, what I meant it'll be on sale sometime after release, and quite likely cheaper than it is now.
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?
