I'm having issues setting up a league. Firefox wont even let me connect to the site at dirtgame.com and whilst I can access the site to setup leagues with IE, it just resets when I try and save a season. I'll try and suss it out tomorrow.

It's a bit of a pain to have to go through dirt and CM rego's, as well as link through steam but when I get it up and running I'll provide all the links/instructions to make it easier for newbies.

Righto, so for anyone interested.... I have setup a league for fellow Arse's to compete against each other.

Go to https://www.dirtgame.com/uk/leagues/lea ... rse-champs to sign up. You will have to register on the site with dirtgame.com and it should direct you to link Steam/Codemasters account if you haven't already set this up for Dirt Rally Comps and Leagues.

First off I thought a 3 round series over 3 weeks with just 6 stages each might be a good starting point to see how things go. You can compete at any time between the dates posted with the cut-off being 8pm Saturday.

I am having problems with CTD's during leagues. The most I have done is got 4 stages in, then I get a CTD which means I need to start from stage 1 again!! :(

In menus just after completing a stage.... doesn't happen all the time. That help is for the first Dirt game?! :melt:

Is there a difficulty of AI option somewhere? Have you altered it? Or is the Mini fucktonnes faster than the Lancia? I have no idea how anyone who isn't super human could win a rally in the first career mode championship.

Im not sure there is in career mode? I got 3rd in my first rally but won my second (by 2 seconds!) I havent looked into it much I just drive lol

Id like to see career mode emulate Network Q Rally Championship from the 90's. With overall results and a greater choice in selecting tyres etc. I remember coming 115th overall and being satisfied in a Golf lol.
It was great that you could catch or be passed by other cars too, or see someone on the side of the road. It added so much immersion :)

Im so slow on tarmac, showing in the 1000's online yet I'm in the 100's on gravel.

Tarmac was the only rally I was doing alright in with the 60s championship. Still didn't win though. No idea about online standings.

I'm going to have to restart a stage multiple times (in an undamaged car) to see if I can win a stage If I memorise the corners. I think last time I did that the car was kinda stuffed. I don't like doing that in a rally sim though. I much prefer being unsure of the stage and relying on the pace notes, and driving within myself rather than driving it like I'm almost trying to stack it.

When you complete a stage, press button 16 to compare with friends and you can see your steam friends times. It also displays a number next to your flag I think that shows your online rank for that stage. Im fairly certain it ranks you for that class across any type of mode (career, league, custom)

I don't know what button 16 is! hahaha!

I hope they include and option to turn off that silly button number thing in menu's or at least give us a mouse pointer. It's beta though, and I knew that when buying, so not really complaining.

It might be a different button for your setup anyway but it gives you an option either way. I found it pretty easy to work out what was what with the G27 but yes, a mouse point and click would make things a bit easier!

I've mashed buttons a few times looking for the right one for something. I've kinda given up for now. I've found some keyboard equivalents for most of the crucial functions.

Was infuriating to begin with. Now I just ignore a lot of it.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

I'm finally getting into this. Has the usual codies wheel issues but I have looked passed that for the last couple of titles I played. This one is the best codies game since DiRT, the first one.
I'm loving the concept of the online events. Have done the daily event 3 times now. Couldn't seem to sign up for the arse comp though.

In Control Panel do a search for "Set up USB game controllers". Open that and you'll be able to get to the windows calibration screen for your device where it shows the number for each button and hat switch when you press them.

Ive finished my stages. Piss poor effort with a total of 30mins. I should have done some praccy as ive been driving the mkII escort exclusively which translated into me flying off cliffs in the 4wd haha

I got it together by the final long night stage so I think that one might be a challenge for you guys.

Only 5 in the league as it stands. Interested Righty, Lenwar, Ranga..? ive seen your times in some combos ;)

I was going to say get dirtrally instead when you mentioned pcars!

Im seriously loving it, once you get in the zone its more immersive than any other game ive played, mostly because you have to concentrate so hard. When you get through a stage flatout without an incident... oh yeah!

Currently 1st in the reddit league (all stages of Wales in 80's cars) by over 4 minutes! Although only 3 of us have completed all stages haha.
