And here I was thinking we should restrict Darren to the Fezza to give the rest of us a fighting chance. :eyepop:

I do thankyou Darren, you share your sets, videos & telemetry then do this for a fair challenge. :respect:

Z4 GT3 for me, I much prefer front engine rear drive cars to mid engine ones.

Finally fixed my frame rate slow down issues on Monza and am getting some decent lap times now.

What was the frame rate fix. I have mine set to 100FPS max, and everywhere else it is fine, but I am down to 65FPS on the main straight. :(

I changed my windows colour scheme (Theme) to Windows 7 Basic in personalisation and now I get a constant 60fps (which I have set the game to - haven't tried higher yet). I don't think my old 460GTX likes this very game much.

I had tried turning all in game settings to minimum, but that didn't help at all... at least now I get to turn in game settings back up as well.

Because the Ferrari has no downforce compared to the other cars it's 20-30km/h faster on the long straights here. On any other track it will be well off the pace I think.

Fark Monza is more of a challenge than I was expecting. Still can't nail a great lap to crack under the 1.50's which seems quite possible if I get consistent. I have been surprised by how well the cars pull up under brakes too.

Yeah funny as, I felt really slow in it cause of the corner speeds, but I didn't really realize how much faster you are down the strait.. will actually be a very unique race

I think all the GT2/GT3 drivers are going to have to be very cautious of any Ferrari drivers under brakes and vice versa, to me it felt like the Ferrari's brakes were weak compared to the GT cars. Not sure if it's because of it's higher speeds on the straights causing the need to brake earlier or if it has smaller brakes, or both?

I may be wrong but that's how it felt to me.

Just a quick query on the league races, is there somewhere that has the race rules for the night? Tyre restrictions/pit stops/driver aids etc?

This is mine, not much different to stock other than slightly taller gear ratio's, 90% Coast and more front brake bias, plus soft slicks.

It's for the BMW Z4.

I don't know if I'll take it every week, but I thought it would be interesting to see how it pans out at Monza :)

Fuck. Could have squeezed a 1.48 out but I accidentally applied the brakes way too early on Curva di Lesmo and lost a second and a half... still got the time down but narrowly missed out on the 1.49's.

Starting to wonder whether the M3 will be too slow down on the straights.

Here is my slightly modded Mclaren MP412c GT3 setup. I posted a 49 with it, but it should be good for faster than that with a clean lap.

PS It does have a tendency to spit you off a curb and put you into the wall... E.g. second lesmo exit curb. :fall:

The full GP version, it's just called Silverstone in game.

Well I would have hated to do laps on the track labelled Silverstone in the game and then once the page comes up for that round I find that we are using Silverstone International, not a total wasted effort with a setup but in terms of learning the new flow...

100%

With two more kids due to arrive late September I am guessing that this series will be my only chance for some serious seat time for a while once they arrive!
