I did as well, it just felt like the right line to take considering in the hotlaps you are pretty much hoping you don't get caught by the penalty trap.

I noticed a lot of people taking that wide line. I did it a couple of times accidentally and I even aborted one qualifying lap when I over-shot. I guess the hotlapping penalty worked. It made me feel like I was cheating to use that bit of road.

I noticed it used ahead in the race and while I tried to avoid it if I was drifting wide I just kept the boot in it. If it was a real race I am sure they would all be pushing the envelope of it :)

Did some hotlapping tonight and so frustrating when you only just slide across to much but just makes you more determine to stick it :D

Also the booking system SUCKS BALLS!!!!! Decided to look for an online race and noticed the AACL server in prac mod with a few guys in there but obviously can't get in there..... Hopefully they sort something so you can join at some point until the race if there are slots

Sorry for hogging the server dvestate, but thanks for the following race when you did join. That was a lot of fun :)

All good, was a fun race when I got in. Would have loved the session before with a few extra cars.

I want to try and race a little more to get myself faster so next time no hotlapping and check out online first :)

Freejoin solves that problem until they fix AC. We use it at XGN and it works like a charm.
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

I am nowhere near race pace for this one, was on the server last night with a couple of you guys and I couldn't get a set of laps together. FInally got into the 3s at about 3am...

Yeah Freejoin by kegetys ftw, the way the XGN servers are setup is pretty sweet. I'm going to configure my own server using Freejoin also.

If you just got into the 1.03's, you should be pretty competitive mid pack. I still can't crack the 1.02's and I think that is more about the braking/accel out of corners.

I'm happy mid pack, I was lapping in the 7s with a mouse and nowhere near the pace of hylas and dvestate on the server last night...

I'm locking up and oversteering everywhere, sucks you can't adjust as many parameters as in lfs for the cars, would love to adjust the brake force.

I've created a Freejoin server for anyone wanting to prac/race.

XRST Assetto Corsa #1 and it's running the current combo.

Passwords is : arse

Had a race against 1 guy on the aacl server tonight and heaps of fun matching lap times and finished .4 behind at the end. So much fun with only the 2 of us!!

If you say so ;)

I worked last night that I pretty much need to be chasing someone or have someone up my clacker to get the best out of myself, otherwise I drift of the job......

How does everyone go with the Soft tires over the distance? Ive done a few 10 lappers and they are ok, do they hold the full 25 up?

Is the re-race tonight?
During State of Origin?

If so... I have a decision to make.
So, not 100% on being there.

That race I had last night I forgot to change back to medium so I had to run 10 laps on soft. I'm not very good at controlling my tyre wear so the last half I was losing time each lap. Couldn't imagine running 25 laps on them.

Soft's would depend how smooth you can be for the whole run, I actually set my faster times on mediums which is wierd

I used hard's last time and they weren't that slow but I think i will go mediums .

Honestly I must be a crappy driver because I didn't feel a whole lot of difference in the tires using Darren's setup .

Yes the race is tonight.. Yes Origin is on.. It's ok if you don't race.. If it was multi division it would matter though.

I'll be using mediums..

Richo, no YouTube for the kids tonight ok!

Sorry gents I'm a likely non-starter now, so if I'm a no-show you know why.

Enjoy the racing!!!
