Anyone watching this on SBS?
It's about the July Crisis which culminated in the start of WWI.
Here's ep.1 in case you missed it:

Re: 37 Days
I have watched all 3. Not normally my style of TV but I was interested in the story that it would tell.
I am far from being any sort of history buff and would be interested to hear, from those who have pursued this knowledge in the past, how close this version of events is to reality.

Re: 37 Days
I'm not an expert either but from my reading it seems very close so far.
The only issue I have is that it focuses a bit too much on Britain at the expense of some of the others. We have seen very little of Austria, yet they were probably the major factor in the outbreak of war.
If you have seen it, you already have a reasonably good understanding of what happened, the characters involved and the options which were available to the players. Those are the critical things, especially if you realise that war was not the only possible outcome.

Third and final episode:
http://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/video/28 ... 31/37-Days" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
As with WWII, the final numbers of dead continue to be shrouded in mystery. The program says around 10 million. Many say 15-17. If you include the Spanish Flu epidemic which was spread as a direct consequence of troop movements, the figure jumps to 65 million.
