Re: Road car youtube clips
Well ok, not really road cars but if you happen to watch Harry Metcalfe youtube channel Harry's Garage, (which is brilliant), he's now got a farming one. It's fascinating!

Re: Road car youtube clips
mmm....
The 1970s called! They want their concept car back Not for me. Looks terrible in my opinion. In fact I'm not even sure he'd be able to sell it in europse because there are rules about sharp edges and corner radii for pedestrian impacts. That looks like it would fail all of those tests.
He's a terrible public speaker. Skip to 8 mins when the 'bulletproof glass' broke oops!
They can hardly make enough of the cars they already make so I can imagine this will be 2-3 years late and they won't be able to build enough and if you break it you'll have to wait 3-4 months for a fix. And in the meantime they'll carry on haemorrhaging money. Tesla's just don't do it for me I'm afraid.

Do we file this with the lorry and the roadster and the roof tiles and the ... as a publicity stunt to attract funding?
There's no way it can go to production like that. It's a concept car at best, surely.
I do love it when car companies come up with barking designs but this just doesn't work, aesthetically.

I kinda appreciate it just for how audacious it is, instead of being like a run of the mill truck they've jumped ahead to something futuristic. I'm still not sure I really like the looks but I can appreciate it on a certain level.

SSC Regains Fastest Production Car Title With 316mph Tuatara
SSC wheeled out its latest model, the Tuatara. This comes with a 5.9-liter, twin-turbo V8 that produces 1,350hp on regular pump gas, or a heady 1,750hp with E85. All that power is stuffed into a 3,000lb (1,335kg) curb weight carbon-fiber shell with a drag co-efficient of just 0.279. SSC took the car to the exact same patch of road Koenigsegg used in 2017: an 11-mile stretch of Nevada’s Route 160, between Las Vegas and Pahrump.

That is fucking ridiculous. The acceleration over 200mph was crazy.

Utterly bonkers 330mph in a road car...
I'm interested in why they named it after a Kiwi Lizard.

The Tuatara is named after the reptile, found only in New Zealand, known for having the fastest molecular evolution of any living animal.

Somehow I don't think wearing a helmet will help you if it all goes wrong at 300mph!

Re: Road car youtube clips
It's funny how we should be wary of foreign cars because parts will be hard to get hold of (typical British motor industry assuming they would break down as much as our cars did!)
