Re: V8 Supercars 2013
So Ten won't be showing all the races then? I assume a similar deal to BBC and Sky with F1? If that's the case then it's a shame - it's certainly not going to make me go and subscribe to Foxtel.

It "should" all be live on 10 as well due to anti-siphoning laws.

Hopefully they'll keep the current format of live on 10 and then repeated on Foxtel.

Re: V8 Supercars 2013
I doubt they will woodsy - Fox are getting top billing on all the press announcements - I get the feeling it will be the main races also live on Ten/OneHD and the minor rounds on delay with no qualifying and supports - all of that will be Foxtel only.
Still its a long way away and there are always around these things in 2015.

Everything on Fox will be live.
Nothing is known about Ten. Prepare to be disappointed?

The fact they are not going into detail about what Ch 10 are doing is interesting.......and concerning.

Re: V8 Supercars 2013
I would expect the races to be shown on Ten, major races live and possibly some on delay.
Should be great if fox cover all the support classes at the event

Re: V8 Supercars 2013
I think this is as a result of FTA networks broadcasting their tv with such Crap quality. The only V8 round I've watched live this year was Bathurst. I've made a point to watch the replay on Speed in wonderful HD. It is a shame the series is moving away from FTA but it's hardly a surprise!
Australians were forced to upgrade their TVs to something digital, I think it's about time more people started demanding better quality TV and less home shopping channels!

Re: V8 Supercars 2013
I'm a bit disappointed by the joint deal. I'd like to see at least qualifying and the races live on Ten, don't care much about the practice sessions etc (except at Sandown and Bathurst), but unfortunately I think it's going to be more like the Sky/BBC F1 deal with FTA viewers getting the raw end.
That said, having all F1, MotoGP and V8 Supercars live and in HD on Foxtel would make it seriously tempting. I could almost justify the ridiculous cost of Foxtel for all that...

Re: V8 Supercars 2013
All I really care about is Bathurst.
As long as I can watch it all on FTA as it is now, I'm happy.

Re: V8 Supercars 2013
I watch every race, albeit most on delay (Tivo'd). If the Ten package has full races on delayed coverage then that'll be OK but hopefully not just highlights. Going to a paytv deal is dangerous if the FTA deal doesn't get enough air time. The sponsors won't be happy - it's not like the Sky/BBC deal where it's just one market that has been effected - it's really a huge proportion of the viewing audience that won't get the series live anymore.

Re: V8 Supercars 2013
Maybe that's the plan - throw it out there, see what the reaction is and go from there, though why you would need to do such a stunt in this day and age and with the results of the A League and the NBL to go by is anyone's guess.
