this one brings up all new posts for me, dunno what you are looking at

I did see a support post about that. I'll go check it....
Ah yes it only monitors forums that have the active topics option selected. I don't think I've ever turned any of them on.
Display active topics:
If set to yes topics made to this forum will be shown in the active topics list.
I just turned on the off topic forum to try it.
Personally I always just click 'view new posts'

View active topics doesn't seem to be showing new threads for me, only the ones that were created before the upgrade.

I didn't think anyone used it so I haven't really looked at the options before.
So it seems like it shows any topic (in a forum that has been flagged to be on the list) that has over 25 views.
I've added in the hilariarse forum too just to try it out and I can see all the topics that should be in there, including two made today.

OK it turns out it was a bug in the old version that meant it was on for all forums even if the setting was off.
So I've now gone through and turned it on for most of the main forums. I've left out the teams forums and a few of the quieter ones like rFactor. If anyone wants those on let me know.

my normal daily racing now is rFactor SCE mod and a few others with series points
