Ok, so I resubscribed, im downloading around 800mb before I get started again.
I just never seem to get into it, I really do want to so im going to struggle through it.
So basically anyone got personal recommendations to get going? do I just keep doing on races to build rating? or should I do series?

I think its important to be prepared before you race, so make sure each track you go to each week you do plenty of laps...maybe a few time trials to assist boost your rating.
But most importantly, just aim to finish each race incident free which will assist you jump quickly into the faster better cars...
And dont forget, have fun too...

i bought the 3 month subscription, started the game and had a few test drives, how do i look for servers for practice sessions?
