Some of the times are fairly l337. Did some laps last night in the 458 and I'm a couple of seconds off the next one, and that's not up the pointy end :/ might be able to squeeze another half second out of it but that's about it. Wonder where I'm losing all that speed...

I think plenty of abuse of kerbs is requried at all the chicanes. There's a lot of time to be made up in all of them.

Controlled aggression is the key, there is a pretty fine line how much you cut them as if you hit them the wrong way you get a bit too much air time which slows you down

Also figured I would just throw up my fast time anyways, that first one was the first clean lap I ran practicing the track :)

Yes the kerbs will launch you if you hit them wrong.

I haven't actually done any laps for a long time on this combo, that time of mine was left over from when we were testing out the AACL website. I'll commit some time soon to see if I can catch you :D

You are only .8 behind so you should get that, on that lap I made a small mistake and lost about .5 or so but figured it was fast enough to be in the Top Div so have begun working on a race setup with some simulated 20 lap runs against the AI

I don't expect the same mistakes from everyone else in this one so expecting if I want to get near 2nd place again it will be a bigger fight and might have a bit more tight racing, the only thing about the M3 is the lack of speed down the straight that I am getting compared to the other cars

Had a run.
Took 2 seconds off my time.
Refreshed the AACL page.

Still 2nd last.

So how are people finding what car so far? Haven't done any laps will probably have a go tonight. Thinking of just using the z4 again seems i know how it works with throttle response etc

Personally out of the gt3 cars (haven't tested the gt2 yet), I prefer the z4 most. Personally prefer a very stable car and the z4 to me is the best under acceleration out of corners and braking. I find the mclaren much too twitchy especially under braking when left with the stock set up. Although I am sure some additional rear toe would fix that up.

Probably best to stick to one car that way you can learn all the characteristics of it and extract the most out of it

I agree with sticking with one, I took the M3 for the first round and it suits the way I like to drive.

I tried the Z4 a bit more for this one but could not get the feel that I have with the M3.

Yeah, I've decided to stick with the Macca. Judging by WR pace it's a little slower than the Z4 and M3, but hopefully I can have a much more consistent race this time. I've spent a lot of time lapping this track, I'm much more comfortable here than Monza.

If anyone wants to have a quick race tonight on the practice server just let me know. Will be on tonight doing some practice. Want to try to at least get a race in before the points paying race just to see how online is on that track as I haven't done one yet

Any chance you could share your setup? Mine's more than a big of a handful. ;)

I jumped on for a bit of practice, the 458 is nowhere near the other cars for this round, but I find it the most fun to drive around here... dunno what to go with... probably start in the m3 again.

I thought we were locked to the car we started this series with. Is that still the case?

Nope, was never the case. Choose what you like.

I'm going to stick with the Mclaren, just because.
