Looking to join a team? Post you name and any additional details here, let them know you're on the market. They'll be watching! :)

best way to join a team is to be online as much as you can, and race with respect, speed doesnt necessarily have much to do with it :) after you turned some heads people will start asking :P thats generally how it goes i think.

It's all about respect, if your a clown on the track no team will look at recruiting you.

I'd suggest entering into the next GTR AAL race, and having some fun.

Mate, I dont mean to be picky, but teams are all about mateship and racing together. Seems a bit shallow not to join a team because of what they look like.

maybe i am shallow :P
na i agree with you but there are pirks to both sides. for example teams get to run team events often, but privateers are not bound to having to run (not this any team forces is racers, but some in europe do that i know of) all the time. also some people like looking good on track (making up for other short commings)

I came from a FPS gaming background, ive played in 3 diffrent clans over a number of games, in these teams ive developed lifetime friends, had huge amount of fun and overall enjoyed the game alot more being in a team structure.

Im looking for the same thing in LFS, I dont really care how good the team/me is, its just all about fun with a hint of seriousness on race day :)

Well as I've only just recently become a member of OzBee-R, this is my first team and I can definately say it has helped my racing and improved the time I spend playing LFS.

Not only have I joined a group who are just a bunch of great guys but its a great opportunity to be involved in organised fun clean racing events that the team hold instead of just logging onto a server and hoping for the best.

The events are there but none are manditory, I race in what I want to race, but I generally find the organised events to be the best racing.

Its also proving to be very helpful in the practice side of things, we are able to share and discuss setups and strategies, watch each others laps and see where we can improve etc and over the entire team you can see the improvement in our race results. But overall we are having a damn good time doing it.....

I guess also having team mates pushes you on to get better times, everybody wants to beat their team mate.

The guys were actually very flexible as far as skins go...... they gave me their definate requirements and I have designed skins to what suits me around those requirements.

So I am very happy to be apart of OzB and hope to continue showing some good race results for the team.

No australian lfs team puts pressure on anyone to race in official leagues, they just encourage you to do so... as for looking good, well hold a nice powerside with a xrr and i rekon you will be doing all right :P

Why not? New guys come along, and if they want to be in a team, they post here :) It's been bogged down a bit with sentiment, would be good if the 'race clean, be nice' stuff could be contained to one post

to join teams like SCR, just consistently PM them and EMAIL them and generally badger them and they will let you join. Look at scottie and chaz, thats what they did. :tilt:

Unfortunately spoon has failed to realise that 99.99% of drunks speak nothing but the cold raw truth. Drinking breaks down barriers allowing one to speak truthfully without regret because once one sobers up they can deny it by saying "I don't remember that so it didn't happen."
